The concierge emergency
Your first emergency visit with us has one goal: get you out of pain and understand exactly what's wrong. Then we plan the right fix — properly. We don't do rushed, one-visit dentistry that compromises your long-term health, and we don't just pull teeth. Saving your tooth is always the first option we look at.
What counts as a dental emergency
Severe or worsening tooth pain · a knocked-out or loosened tooth · a broken or cracked tooth · a lost crown or filling with pain · swelling of the face or jaw · signs of an abscess (fever with throbbing pain).
What to do right now
| Situation | Do this |
|---|---|
| Knocked-out adult tooth | Hold it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently, try to reseat it or keep it in milk — and call us immediately; the first hour matters |
| Severe toothache | Rinse with warm salt water, floss gently to rule out trapped debris, use over-the-counter pain relief as directed — never put aspirin on the gum |
| Broken tooth | Save any pieces, rinse your mouth, use a cold compress for swelling |
| Lost crown | Keep it — temporary dental cement from a pharmacy can protect the tooth until your visit |

Can I be seen the same day?
Often, yes. With five offices across Western New York and emergency time held in our schedules, we can usually get you in quickly — call (716) 333-3333 and we'll find the soonest chair.
What happens at the emergency visit?
One goal: get you out of pain and understand exactly what's wrong. Then we plan the right fix, properly — we don't rush definitive treatment into a painful visit.
Will you just pull the tooth?
Not if we can help it. Saving your tooth is always the first option we evaluate. Extraction is a last resort, never a shortcut.
Do you take new patients for emergencies?
Yes — you don't need to be an existing patient to call us with an emergency.
What if it's after hours?
Call (716) 333-3333 and follow the prompts. If you have facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, or trauma with possible jaw injury, go to the emergency room first.
