What to Expect at Your First  Visit

I think that the most important thing for patients to understand is what’s going to happen when they come in for a visit with us, and it really starts before the first visit. Let me take you on a little journey of how that experience might be. Step one, you’re going to make the phone call. We have an easy phone number 333-3333. You dial it and we have a Concierge on the other line that’s going to help answer most of the basic questions: Do you participate with my insurances. How much is the visit? A number of different things. And a lot of it, I think you’ll be surprised at because the answers will be yes. And those initial visits for patients that don’t have insurance are often free, especially if you want to talk about something that wouldn’t be covered by insurance anyway. So make sure you talk about that. And I think that you’ll really enjoy speaking with our Concierge.

What happens next? Well, you’ll schedule your appointment, get welcomed in at the visit, and you will already have received all of the information by email. If you need help filling out our forms, we have digital pads and people that can walk you through that.

The third thing is meeting the dentists and that’s going to be really special time, I think, because at Concierge Dental Group, all of our dentists are trained to really look at you, think about you, and listen to you. So, come in with a lot of questions, come in with your thoughts, and make sure when you’re there, you’re honest with your dentist about what you’re really looking for, and what really is important to you. It’s such a very important thing. If I can’t figure out a way to get that out of a patient, then I know that I’m a little bit lost, and I’ll just back off. So, this first experience you have on a typical visit is really about building a relationship with somebody and building what I think is the most important thing with any medical provider is a foundation of trust.

If you can develop trust with your provider and that initial visit, then all of the other visits will, I think, go very smoothly no matter what type of procedure that you’re going to have done.
